Meet Megan

I’m native Californian, small business owner, photographer, and filmmaker. As a true people person, I’m known for my approachable nature and infectious laugh.

While I’m a meticulous planner and organizer, I also thrives in spontaneous, go-with-the-flow moments (especially on road trips!). I’m equally at ease “roughing it” as I am indulging in an unforgettable splurge.

My love for travel began at age 20, studying abroad in Europe with little more than a Eurail pass, a shoestring budget, and a camera around my neck. Years later, the choice to leave New York City behind and move to a French city I’d never even heard of came surprisingly easy. Today, I feel incredibly lucky to be living this chapter of my life in such a remarkable corner of the world and to share my discoveries with fellow curious travelers.

My Travel Philosophy

Go with the Flow

A plan can be great if you only have a few days but don’t get hung up on it… be open to taking a new road if it presents itself. You don’t need to tick the boxes for particular destinations (especially if you saw it on instagram). Be chill if things don’t always go to plan, that’s part of the adventure!

R-E-S-P-E-C-T

Be kind, respectful and polite to locals. Learning a few simple words or phrases can make a huge difference and a smile will almost always go a long way. Be mindful of cultural customs. If you want to take a person’s photo, ask them first. Always leave no trace.

Take Some Risks

When traveling, we always feel most alive when completely out of our comfort zones. Driving on the wrong side of the road, ordering from a foreign menu, getting lost in a strange town, taking the scary boat to that remote island. Times like these always make for the best stories later.

Food & Culture

Try as much local food as possible. And see as much art or listen to as much music as you can find. One of the greatest joys of travel is discovering delicious local cuisines, hearing wonderful music you weren’t exposed to before and bringing home regional products and handicrafts from your trips.

Easy Does It

We know not everyone has the luxury of taking a lot of time off but when you can, DO! Getting to know a particular area well is more rewarding and less stressful than racing through a ton of spots to check off your list. It’s nice to get into the rhythm of a place than just pass through it.

Be Grateful & Present

We can’t forget that we are so very fortunate to be able to travel. Do not take this for granted, especially now after having lived through a pandemic. Know how lucky you are, be kind, be respectful, go slow and enjoy the moment where you are here and now.
