About Petit Détour

As an American who has lived in France for the past 10 years, I’m passionate about sharing the insider knowledge I’ve gathered. My self-guided road trip itineraries and fully-guided tours are designed to help you experience a deeper side of France: wandering through stunning landscapes and tucked-away villages, savoring regional cuisines, staying in unique accommodations, and immersing yourself in French culture while supporting local artisans and businesses. My work is especially suited for travelers who value ease, authenticity, and meaningful experiences over rushing from place to place.

Happy Clients

Petit Détour organized the most incredible Mother/Daughter trip for us! Megan, our guide and driver, showed us around Tarn in the Occitanie region of France. We visited countless ancient villages, each oozing with its own unique history and rich character. We explored beautiful French markets, ate delicious meals, drank wonderful local wines, and met many locals. The access and insight Megan provided made for a very exclusive, VIP type of experience. We would never have discovered even 10% of what we experienced if we'd tried to plan the trip on our own! We really benefited from Megan's extensive knowledge and local connections. She offered the perfect balance of plans with flexibility. I'll be booking another trip with Petit Detour next year!
